As everyone now knows, iOS 7 has undergone a complete design overhaul, not before time ins some people’s opinions. Along with a new look, iOS 7 has also been given a lot more in the way of new features and functionality. One reason why people jailbreak is to give that lock screen a bit of purpose in life – after all, before iOS 7, that’s all it was, just a lock/unlock screen. iOS 7 gave it a meaning and made it possible to access a whole load of different features from it. One other thing they did was to get rid of the static Unlock Slider so that users could swipe anywhere on the screen to unlock their devices.

Not everyone has upgraded to iOS 7 yet. Some because they just don’t want to, some are waiting for all the glitches to be ironed out, and others are waiting for the iOS 6.1.3/4 untethered jailbreak to become available.
If you are still on iOS 6+ and are running the evasi0n jailbreak, there is a new tweak available that will give you this Swipe Anywhere feature. It’s called Unlock7 and it was developed by bushe. You can get it from the ModMyi repo on Cydia, completely free of charge.
As well as giving you the ability to unlock by swiping anywhere, the tweak also makes the lock screen clock slightly larger. And, to make your iOS 6+ device look even more like iOS 7, you can also pair the tweak with the iOS 7 lock screen theme, developed by winesh.
