For some, upgrading to iOS latest version has been a wonderful experience, for others it has been a complete nightmare. Despite Apple pushing out updates since iOS 7 was released, the list of problems just seems to get longer. While each update fixes one or two issues, it seems to cause several more at the same time.

One issue that has affected quite a few users is a SIM card one. Following the upgrade to iOS 7, a lot of people have found that their SIM card is suddenly invalid. They get messages that tell them their SIM has failed or that they need to insert a valid SIM with no pin lock on it.
Tips to Fix Invalid Sim Problem :
- There have been a number of possible solutions mooted for this, like trying a complete restore or reinstalling the iOS again but neither of these solutions produced a permanent fix. It seems that the only way to fix it is to get a replacement SIM card from your carrier.
- The best thing to do is to take your iPhone back to the store you bought it from and ask them to test it. Make sure they test a new SIM in it. It would appear that, for some people, the upgrade has destroyed their existing SIM cards, resulting in a widespread failure problem. Replacing it with a new one should cure the problem.
- For others, the problem isn’t so simple to cure. For the unfortunate few, the upgrade has had the effect of bricking their iPhones and most are finding that they are being asked to pay for a replacement, unless it is still in warranty. If we recall, a similar issue happened in September with an upgrade to Apple TV, an upgrade that Apple silently removed from existence.
Those of you that haven’t updated yet should perhaps hang on until we know what the new update sorts out and, perhaps more importantly, what it doesn’t.
