Cydia really gives the jailbroken iOS devices a tough edge over the non-jailbroken ones. This is because users can do a great deal of customization in their iOS device with Cydia, and Apple by default does not like jailbreaks, so you will have to live without Cydia in case you don’t want to jailbreak your device.

However, there are instances when users need to get rid of Cydia. For example, installing Cydia on your device does not void the warranty, but it will hinder the warranty in the meantime. So if you have an iOS device with Cydia installed on it and want to take it at the Apple Center for rectifying some issue, then the guys at the Service Center will tell you that your iOS device has lost its warranty. So you will have to delete Cydia before you can take it for repairs.
Also, most of the people who sell their iOS devices like to sell them in stock condition, so that the buyer would not think that the device has been used roughly. In such cases too, users need to delete Cydia before selling the phone. Then there are times when users just want to go back to stock iOS.
So if you are the user of a jailbroken device and want to delete Cydia, then you can do so with the following methods.
1. Delete Cydia App Icon
- Navigate to the Cydia app on your home screen.
- Tap and hold it until it starts to wiggle.
- Now tap on delete to remove the app completely from your device.
Note: This method will only remove the Cydia icon but will not delete the jailbreak. The next two methods will remove Cydia as well as the jailbreak.
