Turn On iPhone Camera Grid Lines

Those of you who have upgraded to iOS 7 are no doubt exploring all the new features that have been added in and trying to find all your old favorite ones. One of the older features in the Camera App, the Grid overlay has lost its toggle but you can still use it.

For those who don’t know. the grid divides the screen up into squares of equal sizes, which makes it much easier to take that winning shot. The grid simplifies the “rule of thirds” in photography and makes it easier to line up objects in the image to the lines on the grid overlay.

To enable the Camera Grid on iOS 7 :

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap on Photos and Camera ios 7 photo grid camera (1)
  3. Under Camera, tap on the toggle for Grid to enable or disable it as shown in the image below ios 7 photo grid camera (3)

When you go back to the Camera app the grid will be visible.  If you like using he grid it is probably easier just to leave it enabled. After, all it isn’t visible on the images you shoot, only on the screen while you are taking the photographs.

Don’t forget that you can now access your Camera app by swiping up from the bottom of the screen to bring up Control Center.
