Things have been a little quiet on the iOS 7 untethered jailbreak front just recently, leading some to believe it had all died a death.  However, at the beginning of October, team member Planetbeing put out a tweet saying that they are still hard at work on the utility and that they may now have everything they need to build it.  However, the one thing many are waiting for is a release date and that is not being given at this moment in time.

Evad3rs are refusing to give even an estimate for the release because there is so much still to be done.  The addition of 2 new iPads may hold things up further along with the team having to face new hardware and a 64-bit processor as well as a coprocessor.  Once the utility has been built it will then have to go through a period of testing to make sure it works on all relevant devices and the software also has to be built  for Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems as well.

A video has been uploaded to YouTube by icrackurdevice on the subject of the untethered jailbreak.  Take a look at it below as it gives an update on the latest developments of the jailbreak.

For those who are eagerly awaiting the iOS 6.1.3/4 untethered jailbreak form Winocm, he has now told us that we can expect it to be released before 2014 so it will probably be sometime in December.  iH8sn0w and Winocm are currently working on the PC and Mac software so that the jailbreak can be safely downloaded onto your iOS devices.

The thing is if they keep on waiting for every new idevice that apple comes out with, they are never going to have a jailbreak finished. What if they bring out ios8 are they going to hold out until they get that done? Why don’t they just worry about what’s out right now? it’s just something that comes to mind.

They have to make sure it works with the new device. Maybe you got a new device and you want it jaIlbroken, but doesn’t work with it. Then it’s because they didn’t wait to test it.
