BackUp Cydia Repo Sources using CSources

If you are one of those people who uses third party repositories as well as the default ones in Cydia, a new jailbreak tweak might be of some interest to you. CSources2 allows you to back up third party sources and manage them, even giving you the option of toggling them on or off instead of deleting them. It costs $1.99 and is available on the BigBoss repo right now. Installing it is simple, just tap on the tweak in Cydia and install it in the normal way. Respring your device and you will see a CSources2 app icon on your home screen, just tap on it to open it. The interface you will be met with is nothing special in terms of design but the tweak is a useful one.

To add new sources, simply tap on the + sign that is in the top left hand corner of the screen, type the source URL in, as you do when you are adding a new repo to Cydia, and tap on Add It!. Once installed, the source will appear in the list on the tweak. Each source can be enabled or disabled with its own toggle switch and, as soon as you tap one of the switches or make any changes at all, tap on the Apply button that you will see in the top left corner so that changes are made in Cydia as well.

If you want to find out any information about a particular source, tap on it in the list and you can see information and add your own notes in, perhaps a reason why you added that source in the first place. Once you have made all the changes you want to in the tweak, open Cydia and check that the changes have been reflected there. As well as managing your sources, you can also back them up to iCloud or make sure they get included with your next iTunes backup.  If you want, you can also browse through the file system and do a manual backup of the plist file as well.
